Taking an all-hazards approach to school safety requires awareness of school rules and policies, which can be further enhanced through self-education on the part of parents. That's what the Center's Resource Library is all about.

As a parent, you know that the concept of school safety goes well beyond students' physical security. So in addition to knowing your school's emergency plans, for example, you should familiarize yourself with best practices regarding bullying, violence, substance abuse, internet safety and a range of other issues concerning our youth.
