School Safety Topics

School safety is a complex issue because it encompasses so many aspects of our physical and emotional well-being, not only in schools, but also in the community at large. The threats to that well-being are varied, and their significance in any individual school or district depends on a whole range of factors from geography to cultural factors to age of the student body.

This section of the MCSS website provides an overview of the school safety topics deemed most crucial in a survey of educators, parents and other important stakeholders. We will continue to add topics and information as the need arises and new learning becomes available, so we invite you to bookmark this site and come back regularly.
